Quick answer

Eredrim is in The Warden’s arena inside the Citadel of Penance in northwestern Fainweald. Reach the central fighting pit, trigger and defeat The Warden, then interact with Eredrim’s body. His identity is durability plus Break → riposte → Slaughter pressure.

Unlock route

There are multiple ways into the Citadel, so the exact approach can differ. The stable endpoint is the same:

  1. Enter the Citadel of Penance.
  2. Work toward the central lift/fighting area.
  3. The floor/route drops you into the Warden arena.
  4. Trigger and defeat The Warden.
  5. Interact with Eredrim’s remains to claim the Shell.

Why Eredrim feels safer than early Shells

Full-release comparisons place him near the top of the roster for raw health/durability. More important than the health pool is the way his kit turns posture damage into repeatable control.

Shoulder Bash is the obvious single-target Break tool. Ethereal Diapason serves a wider stagger role. Once an enemy is broken, the riposte creates room to build the Slaughter side of his kit.

The simple Eredrim loop

Shoulder Bash → add Break with melee/parry → riposte → build Slaughter benefits → repeat.

This works especially well against bosses that can be repeatedly staggered.

What weapon should Eredrim use?

There is no single permanent answer. A launch video favored the Veteran’s Battle Axe for an accessible, strong early charged attack, while other current build guides favor Axatana/Obsidian Hammer for different versions of the bash loop.

That disagreement is useful: Eredrim’s Shell ability is the core. The weapon is the thing you tune around speed, Resolve generation and the punish window you prefer.
